Norton RFC was founded in 2011 by two local farmers who recognized there gap in the area for a local rugby team and also a sporting hub in the local area. Norton in it brief history has gone from strength to strength, epitomising grass roots rugby as we started with changing in a gazebo in the carpark and showering under "solar showers", through changing in a container and showering in a mobile dog-wash to having a purpose built changing facility, licensed bar and reaching the dizzy heights of promotion this year into level 10 Gloucester 2. The Norton team is made up of men from all over Gloucestershire but the core and bulk are local lads who are either new to rugby, returning to the game or are at their peak and have answered the call of the war-pig!
